Background
Born July 28, 1972, Maria grew up in the Bronx with a less than healthy family life. She was one of half a dozen troubled teenagers selected to take part in the experimental Camp New Horizons, a program designed to mix troubled youth with exceptional teens in hopes to foster cultural understanding and help those worse off.

Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland
Maria woke up early the day she was supposed to go to Camp New Horizons. Her mother shouted at her to be quiet and she headed to the bus stop alone. There, Angela stalked her down with a dump truck and crushed Maria to death by ramming the truck into her. Angela then puts her corpse in the truck's compractor, activates it, and destroys the corpse.
Character
Maria was a young woman with a troubled life. It is unknown what specific offenses Angela would have for murdering her or if she was chosen simply because her background (Italian-American) made her the closest match for Angela's disguise.
Behind the Scenes
The script describes her as "a 17-year-old Italian with bleached blonde hair who wears an oversized t-shirt that clings to her exquisite body."
Named after Maria from West Side Story.
